    This Oak Park kitchen features an eclectic blend of colors and finishes to fit in an arts and crafts-style home.  A new space plan which branches into an existing porch area was developed to give the homeowners more storage space and an eat-in kitchen.  Cabinetry is a blend of maple with a painted finish and Lyptus, an environmentally sustainable wood.  Polished granite countertops cover the main kitchen area while the painted desk area features a Lyptus countertop.  Backsplash is a blend of a hand-made ceramic subway tile mixed with a feature strip of interlocking glass tile in a matte/gloss blend.  The space is finished off with stained glass pendants, stainless appliances, and a mix of brushed nickel and oil-rubbed bronze hardware.
